The ability to pick up women is not something that necessarily comes natural to all men, though there are some guys who may be able to pick up women without any problem, it can usually be attributed to some sort of external factor, like having a lot of money, or being a famous actor or musician. For regular guys like us, we need to approach the situation with a different attitude, since it won’t be as easy for us, it is important that we actually put some effort in picking up women. There are a few key points to hit on when it comes to picking up women, and in no particular order: you need to be presentable, you need to be able to hold a conversation, and you need to be able to close the deal.
Picking up women for normal guys is 90% mental and 10% physical, that being said if you neglect either of those segments, you won’t be scoring very much at all. The 10% physical gets your foot in the door, and it can help you a little bit as well, since no woman is going to go home with the guy who her friends have nicknamed “stinky”. The key to looking good is to use common sense, dressing for the occasion is something you should be doing anyways, but it warrants mentioning because some guys still won’t do it. After you shower and shave, applying a good aftershave is going to moisturize your skin just enough for a woman to have a smooth sensation when she touches it. The harder part of having a good appearance is making your hair look neat, and for some guys, getting rid of facial acne or losing weight. Since there are a few things you can’t control, such as your height, try to highlight the better things about you instead, or at least neutralize the problem, if you a short, try to sit down with a taller woman instead of standing and talking.
When you’re learning how to pick up women, you’ll notice that a lot of it has to do with being mentally prepared, and this is completely true. Knowing how to talk to a woman is what will actually get her in bed, you need to be funny, but you can’t be over the top, you need to be suggestive, but you can’t be pushy. Asking a woman open ended questions is going to keep the conversation going longer allowing her to get more comfortable with you and enable you to find out more about her to use it to your advantage. You should also make it fairly obvious from the start that you have romantic intent, and not just looking for another friend. Without going over the top, it only takes one comment to let her know that you are interested in her.
Closing the deal can be either the easiest, or the hardest part of picking up women, depending on what you’re going for and how you executed your plan. If you want a phone number, it will be relatively easy, especially after talking with her for a while, or if she has friends she absolutely needs to be with. Trying to get her in bed is going to be trickier, especially if this is the first time you’ve met or talked to her. In a party setting like a house party, bar, or club, if you have been flirting back and forth all night, you can make it fairly obvious to her that you want to take her to your place. In some cases, you’ll still have to be obvious, but not overtly obvious. It can be a hard line to walk, but these are just basic guidelines, you’re going to have to get some experience under your belt in order to get comfortable with certain methods and programs that you see online today.
